The Grass is Greener On The Other Side

I woke up on the wrong side of my bed, flipped over, sideways, on top of the covers. From the moment my alarm blared and awoke me, I knew it was going to be a bad day. I groggily pulled myself off my pillow, away from the mattress, and slunk forward to the bathroom. I got a 'good morning sweetie' from my mom, followed close behind with a welcoming warm smile. How did I reply to that?... 'Oh... HI' Definitely not the best way to greet someone first thing in the morning. What's wrong with me?

Breakfast time rolled around. 2 peices of toast with PB + honey.. breakfast of champions might I add. Dad (or D-Muzz to many) was sitting at the table. I did my signature glare/fake smile face in his direction. Looks like this day is headed downhill... even more so than before..like a dang rollercoaster ride, ups and downs, back and forth.. make it stop please!! and ALL because of one thing...

My GIRL!

Three months is a long time... when one of your best friends is not even in the country. I woke up this morning pretty sad, realizing that Mahsa has only been gone for a week and a half now, but it seems so much longer. May-August. That's how long I have to spend without my girl. She's one of those people you can just call up and talk with on the phone for 40 minutes, until you realize you've been chatting about everything and nothing at all, and you have a page of notes with just a title at the top so far.... Lets get cracking!!

I know all of this sounds really sappy, maybe even a little clingy. But it's weird thinking that she isn't even around for me to call up and say.. 'hey lets go for bubble tea and do absolutely nothing!!' I hope she's having the time of her life over there in Africa, and I know when she comes back, I'll have lots of stuff to fill her in on, and she better have some stories for me!!

That's all I can really think of, I guess it's just a short and sweet one, I had to get that off my chest.

Ew, so I'm sitting at home, and I'm sweating right now... I just got home from work (crappy 7 hour shift... but I survived!!) and I'm feel gross! Its weird because it's raining outside too, but I guess since it's muggy it has a strange effect on me. Anyways, today was a pretty good day. I had my interview with Costco.. they seemed to really like me, I even got to crack a few corny jokes that D-Muzz would've been so proud of. And when the manager laughs back, you know you're on the right track somehow.

Driving to the interview I was super nervous.. I don't really know why, I can talk to people pretty easily. I guess a part of me was scared of being let down (most people probably are in this situation).. didn't help that my mother was trying to 'prep' me. she tries to be so helpful.. "I'll play interviewer, you play interviewed" REALLY?... No thanks?!?!

Now the waiting is the hard part, please costco i would be a great assett to your company ;)

Whaaat a day

I'll start by saying this, I can't handle work anymore. I come home every day grumpy, agitated, and frustrated. The stress I have to deal with is stupid... and I work in a freaking deli. I'm really hoping that my interview with Costco on sunday is successful. I'm so sick of dealing with the same crap every day, and the people don't help either. All day I get to hear the old folk co-workers complaining about how terrible there lives are, and 'oh i work too much' Ya ok... you're full time so shut up you should be used to that by now!..... On a side note, as much as I dislike SuperValu, I would definitely miss the girls in the deli, they brighten my day.
